Neetu Kapoor Opens Up On How She Gathered Courage And Faced Camera After Her Husband Rishi Kapoor’s Death
On April 30, 2021, it will be one year that the industry superstar Rishi Kapoor breathed his last, his death left the Kapoor family and his fans numb. He died after his prolonged battle against cancer. Now, in conversation with Mid Day, Neetu Kapoor shared how she coped with this sorrow and what made her get back to work after her husband’s sad demise. She termed 2020 a tough year as well.

In her conversation, she shared that after Rishi Kapoor’s death she gathered the courage to get back to work and mentioned it only worked that helped her get over her grief and move on with her life. The senior actress said, “I had gathered the courage to work after Rishi passed away in 2020. I told myself that work would help me get over my grief. It was the only way to get on with life.” The senior actress also shared COVID-19 pandemic that got people locked inside their homes was a boon for her.

She shared that during this phase her family was with her, she said, “The pandemic actually worked in my favour because my family was with me for more than six months. Everybody was spoiling me silly.”


The actress had recently tested positive for COVID-19 while she was shooting for Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. The actress shared being guilty as many people on the sets were also infected, post which though she remained quarantined in Chandigarh and then returned to Mumbai and followed self –isolation. She only resumed shoot after she tested negative for COVID-19. She said, “Many others on the set of Jug Jugg Jeeyo got infected. But I was feeling terribly guilty, so I came back, self-quarantined and after testing negative, in around 10 days, I resumed work. Everyone was young and said that Neetu auntie would need time to recover, but I made it.”
